MURFREESBORO, Tenn.– October is National Bully Prevention Awareness month, and even the toughest athletes have experienced the pains of bullying.

Former NFL player Terrance Pennington talked to the Oakland High School football team to empower them before their football game against rival Riverdale High School and to share his testimony of how he had to overcome adversity to accomplish his dreams.

Jacoby Stevens is a senior football player for Oakland High School who has experienced his fair share of bullying, but chooses to look forward and lean on his family and team for support. Stevens has committed to play football for LSU after graduating in May of 2017.
