About Me
I am a creative, competitive and passionate storyteller at WBIR Channel 10 News in Knoxville, Tennessee. I care about community and highlighting the good in the world.
I’m originally from the small town of Dandridge, in Jefferson County, Tennessee. I have a journalism degree from Middle Tennessee State University, with a concentration in broadcast.
Currently, I am a weekend anchor and feature reporter for WBIR’s lifestyle show, Live at Five at Four. I pitch, shoot, write and edit my own stories.
My favorite part of my job is getting to meet new people and sharing impactful stories that make a difference in the community I’m lucky enough to call home.
My reporting not only shines the light on bright spots in the area, but also highlights the struggles and hopeful moments from breast cancer fighters and survivors in the monthly Buddy Check 10 stories at WBIR. The features encourage self breast exams and have saved countless lives.
Although feature reporting is my passion, I have also covered hard news stories in my time as a general assignment reporter at Channel 10. I maneuvered the wreckage of the Cookeville tornadoes on the ground in 2020, the discovery of young Evelyn Boswell’s body in upper East Tennessee and the breaking news of the shooting inside Austin-East Magnet High School.
I am an inventive and plugged-in journalist and storyteller. To promote stories, I use Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
